How it counts.

Rides recorded in Windline, or uploaded and checked. Every kilometre, once.

  • Record in Windline

Tap Record a ride on any route. Your kilometres count as you go, whether or not anyone is watching.

  • Or upload a FIT or GPX

From your Garmin, Wahoo, COROS, Zwift or any bike computer. Each file is checked automatically: the dates, and that it was really recorded.

  • Strava, once it’s open

When Windline’s Strava connection opens to everyone, your Strava rides count toward your own total. The leaderboard shows verified kilometres.

  • From 00:00 GMT on 16 December to 23:59 GMT on 31 December 2026.
  • Uploads count until 23:59 GMT on 3 January 2027.
  • Indoor and virtual rides count, with their distance and times.
  • Two rides that overlap in time count once: the longer one.

Questions.

Who can enter?

Anyone, anywhere in the world, for free. Get Windline on your phone or open it on the web, sign in or create a free account, and enter The Windline 1000 by ProLend.

Which rides count?

Rides from 00:00 GMT on 16 December to 23:59 GMT on 31 December 2026, recorded in Windline or uploaded as a FIT or GPX file. Indoor and virtual rides count too: a trainer app’s FIT file needs its distance and times, not GPS. If two overlap in time, the longer one counts, once.

How are uploads checked?

Automatically, and a file that fails says exactly why. Every point needs a time, the ride has to start inside the dates, and it has to look recorded: times that only go forward, no jumps, a speed that fits the sport, and the sampling of a real device. A planned route’s export is refused, and so is a file or a track that has already been counted.

Does Strava count?

Once Windline’s Strava connection opens to everyone, your Strava rides count toward your own total, your progress and your finisher card. The leaderboard shows verified kilometres only: recorded in Windline or uploaded.

Who’s on the leaderboard?

Only entrants who turn on Show me publicly in Windline, with their first name, last initial and country. It’s off until you turn it on.

Who shows on the map?

Only entrants recording right now who chose to be found on that ride. Recording counts whether or not anyone can watch.

When do uploads close?

23:59 GMT on 3 January 2027, so a late sync still counts.
